Calculate your EMI

I tried my level best to find a formula to calculate EMI for loan amounts. But till date I could not figure out the logic to caculate the EMI

Below tool calculates the EMI for a given loan amount, rate of Interest(ROI) and tenure in number of months. This tool is based on web based spreadsheet from AdventNet.

Let me know if any one of you know the formula to calulate the EMI

Today's Wikipedia home page features an article on Sardar vallabhai patel.

From the article it is very clear than Gandhi was very biased towards Nehru over Patel

Patel stepped down in favour of Nehru from the 1946 election for the Congress presidency, upon the request of Gandhi — Gandhi had declared Nehru to be his "successor" in 1942. Patel had the support of 11 out of 15 Congress PCCs, while Nehru had none.

He would have made a better PM for India than Nehru

Imperialism

Sometime back I read about Macaulay's speech about Indians.

A recent chat with my friends proved how true it is and to what extent imperialism has influenced indian mindset.

We friends watched movie MissionImppossibleIII togeather. After watching the movie I commented that few stunts and incidents in the movie are very cinematic and are not practical. They were surprised to hear my comment and could not believe that a hollywood movie can contain masala stuff. They were arguing that english movies will always be practical.

Hmm,to them whatever fair skinned European/American do or say can never be wrong.

Stockholm syndrome

Wikipedia defines Stockholm syndrome as a psychological response sometimes seen in an abducted hostage, in which the hostage exhibits loyalty to the hostage-taker, in spite of the danger (or at least risk) in which the hostage has been placed.

It seems Govt of India is affected by this syndrome. India finally decided to do set up joint anti-terrorism mechanism with Pakistan.

Today I noticed a new supermarket named Trinethra near my home. It had all items ranging from grocery,food to FMCG. It seems they have big chain of shops in Andhra and they have recently opened outlets in chennai.

Couple of weeks back there was a news about Reliance plan to invest Rs.25000 crore in retail industry offering various products and services to customers. They are planning to do a WalMart in India.

This will trigger a revolution in India. All these years Indians were used to buy groceries from next door annachi kadais - small shops having annual turnover less than few lakhs.

Let see how small players like Trinethra and foodworld competes with the BIG brother - Reliance. Once govt allows FDI in retail Walmart will also join the competition. But this will not happen as long as Communist have a say in the central government.

Is Chennai Conservative ?

East India Company

More than 400 years ago British East India company came india to trade but they conquered and ruled it for 350 years.

Now Indian companies started acquiring foreign companies and turns into global giants.

Some recent examples are Tata's acquisition of Daewoe motors(Korea), Asian paints acquisition of Singapore based Berget international etc.

Today Tata Coffee announced its plan to buy US based company called Eight O'Clock Coffee Company.

Another good news is finalisation of Arcelor-Mittal acquisition. Though Mittal steel is not an Indian company it is owned by an Indian.

Globalisation has really helped India and other third world countries to have better share of world's economic prosperity.

Are u wondering how is it going to help making cheaper phone calls!!!!.

If it is possible to turn analogue signals into digital data, then VOIP can turn your voice data into digital signals and send it over through internet to the destination phone there by bypassing the phone companies.

The calls u make is fully free except for your internet charges.

Iam not sure about legal issues involved in using VOIP in making long distance calls. There may be some local laws in your country against using VOIP without getting permission from government. Those laws are for saving the stateowned telecom companies from going bankrupt.

So check with your lawyer before using VOIP to make international calls.

Last weekend I went to KK Nagar-Chennai by bus. I observed a change in the Name board of the buses plying towards KK Nagar. It read Kalaignar Nagar instead of KK Nagar.

The expansion for KK Nagar is Kalaignar Karunanithi Nagar.

Recent change of Guard in the government made those MTC officials to change the name board.

When ADMK is in power name board reads as KKNagar and when DMK returns to power it changes to Kalaignar Nagar

A typical example of Sycophancy culture brought by these dravidian parties.

Long live Tamil Nadu.
